Imagine walking to school through a river path every day. BBC reached Maharashtra’s Hingoli and found children taking a rough, dangerous route to reach school. Sharp stones, crabs, floodwater in monsoon, and no bridge for 58 years. One child said parents ask them not to go when the river floods, but they still go because they want to repay their family’s hard work. Another said four-five children had once fallen near a pit in the small crossing and got injured. Most of these children come from farmer and labour families. They are not asking for luxury. They are asking for a safe road to school. #SchoolThikKaro
