Ever since the monsoon session of Parliament began, the opposition has been cornering the ruling party on a number of issues. They have been demanding answers in the House since the beginning, but Home Minister Amit Shah does not attend. Yet, the opposition protests daily. Even today, when the House began, as soon as Speaker Om Birla unmuted the microphones of opposition leaders, people immediately protested. They began asking questions about Amit Shah's absence from the House. But Om Birla appeared to be lecturing them on peace. The entire opposition, including Rahul Gandhi, has been protesting daily on every issue, including the pellet gun issue and the lathicharge on students. But Amit Shah is conspicuously absent.
